There comes a time when it’s all too much It just isn’t what it was before Even when I stick around here long enough to fuck My mind’s already out that door I used to love the way you talked and every little smile But now that’s something I can’t see Cos now we’ve been together every second every day I kinda want you far away from me I can’t be your everything Gotta get out on your own I can’t be your everything Oh you gotta take a moment alone You've lost what makes you who you are And placed it all in someone else I used to love the way you hung off my every word Now you make me want to hang myself I can’t be your everything Gotta get out on your own I can’t be your everything Oh you gotta take a moment alone

We’ve been fighting hard for too many years and we’re getting nowhere fast Trying to push against the rising menace, our enemy so vast Coming for us laterally from every point of this expanse We need to find more ways to fight the blaze as the battle fronts advance And as they infiltrate our very minds they cut off our last resort Because without some ingenuity all our efforts will fall short And as our heroes fall and we drop the ball Our children will grow up so clouded by lies and we’ll lose them to the thrall But there is hope yet for our world We can fight and we can win But we must educate ourselves Now the real battle begins We will fight from solid ground Now the real battle begins We fight! Fight! Push them back from every angle Fight! Fight! Slowly we will win this war. Fight! Fight! There’s no power in their fables Fight! Fight! Reason will endure! They may have the easy answers, but easy isn’t right Everyone’s a little scared when they look up in the night The vastness of all space and time is a horrifying sight In the face of the unknown we want to run away and hide But as we reach the edges of our knowledge and darkness turns to light We fill the holes and bridge the gaps and start to understand our plight And as it all comes clear, we learn the truth and we take flight But none of this will come to pass if all you want to do is fight! But there is hope yet for our world We can fight and we can win But we must educate ourselves Now the real battle begins We will fight on solid ground Now the real battle begins Relentless in your ignorance, loose some vital screws The evidence is in front of you but you refuse to see the truth Re-iterating arguments that have been debunked a thousand times Never mind what logic says, when you have the vaguest signs And as they infiltrate our very minds they cut off our last resort Because without some ingenuity all our efforts will fall short We have to resist the vicious urge to fight the way they fight With ad hominems and the foregone conclusion that they are already right With money and power they have a leg up, and with dirty politics They can infiltrate our schools and our courts and then dig in like a tick We will fight on solid ground Now the real battle begins Fight! Fight!

about

After being in Canada for over 2 years, Ben finally came back to Australia for a visit in May 2012, and Kurodust took the opportunity to get the full band back together and rock out. The sessions were entered into with no expectations for any sort of finished product, but the energy of being back together in the studio pushed us to finish and record two new tracks.

about

Kurodust Melbourne, Australia

Kurodust is a three piece band from Melbourne, Australia, with a goal of writing and recording solid hard rock tracks with a bluesy edge. While most bands are out gigging and building a fan base we’ve taken the more introverted approach and, with a variety of technical skills at our fingertips, have focus on creating content that will stand the test of time.

Also, we have super powers.
